In light of the Corona Virus/COVID-19 pandemic that we find ourselves in at this time, Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad (LVRS) is reacting to ensure that not only are you, our community, but also our LVRS members are taking all precautions to protect our patients, ourselves and our families.
This is a new situation for us on this level, and we are steadfastly putting protectors into place to keep us ALL as safe as we can be. We are not only in complete compliance with all regulatory guidelines from community leadership, but are also internally doing what we can to keep our doors open and responding to 911 calls in this time of need.
At this time, and until further notice, LVRS has temporarily suspended some internal staffing from riding, and suspended external programs to keep any unnecessary exposures to this virus from occurring. This also comes with us assuring you that our precautions include continuing to decontaminate our ambulances, as we always do, between patient care.
You may also find us masked at certain times and in personal protection equipment (PPE) to keep us all safe. Protecting ourselves is also protecting you and others if 911 services are unfortunately needed during this trying time. Not only do we want to assure you that we’re doing everything to provide the most excellent patient care, but also are protecting you at the same time.
