LVRS’s Welcomes Our New Operational Medical Director (OMD)

Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad is excited to announce that effective April 1, 2020, Dr. Brandon Nunnally will become Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad’s Operational Medical Director! Dr. Nunnally works for Bon Secours, primarily at MRMC in the ED.

Dr. Nunnally attended The UVA School of Medicine and recently completed his Emergency Medicine Residency in Pittsburgh, PA. During residency Dr. Nunnally was a licensed Pennsylvania EMS Physician and was very involved with Pittsburgh EMS.
Dr. Nunnally is originally from Richmond, VA and was happy to take a position back at home. After being involved in EMS during residency, Dr. Nunnally decided that he wanted to become more involved in EMS in the Richmond area and has completed all OEMS requirements to become an OMD.  He is very excited to be Lakeside’s new OMD and is looking forward to becoming very involved at the squad.

There have been several meetings with other officers as well as members of the training team leading up to this transition.

We’d like to thank Dr. Patrick Oliver for his many years of service to Lakeside Rescue, and wish him the best in his future. Thank you, Dr. Oliver, for helping us be the best we can be and for making this a smooth transition.
