A Letter from Our President

Dear Neighbor,

We wanted to let you know that we received this year’s Regional EMS Council’s EMS Agency of the year award! That’s right, your rescue squad down the street was voted best EMS agency in the region. What an incredible honor it is to know that we were able to achieve this recognition because of the contributions that you have made over the years.

We are looking forward to November when we will find out if we will be this year’s Governor’s EMS Award recipient of Virginia’s Outstanding EMS Agency. We’re keeping our fingers crossed, and we hope you are likewise.

The financial support you have provided over the past years has made it possible for us to continue the mission our members began back in 1958. However, we still need your support to help us continue to operate. This year we are looking to raise enough money to perform much-needed maintenance to our building’s exterior, electrical systems, and parking infrastructure. Your continued contributions will also aid us in the purchase of new cardiac monitors, medical supplies, continued vehicle, and building maintenance, ongoing training, uniforms, and other necessities.

The Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad has been answering your calls for help since 1958. We are a 100% volunteer organization that aids in response to emergency medical calls and provides medical assistance during emergencies. Our mission, in short, is to provide emergency medical services to our community at no cost. To accomplish our mission, we are asking for your help so that we may be able to help you. A donation of any size will aid us in providing this much-needed service in our community, and it will be valued more than you can imagine.

Your donation today will allow the Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad to remain an integral part of our community’s health and safety for years to come.
